BLURB:
One Night. That's all it was supposed to be.

Reeling from the sudden loss of her sister, Haddie Montgomery has sworn off relationships. All she wanted from Beckett Daniels was a sexy distraction to help her escape her pain for just a little while....There weren't supposed to be any strings attached - so why can't she shake the memory of that unforgettable night from her thoughts? Or the taste of his kiss from her lips?

No matter how hard Haddie tries to forget about him, Becks relentlessly tries to prove that she should start living for today. But she is determined to avoid romantic commitment, and she can always use her ex-boyfriend's reappearance to help snuff out the slow burn within her that Becks has sparked....

Or will fate force her to realize that this kind of connection doesn't come along very often and a chance at love is worth the risk?

REVIEW:
*****5 emotionally beaten stars!!!*****
Not for the amazing chemistry, love story, friendship developments or how K. Bromberg had woven all my fav characters into this addition to the Driven Series, alone...
but for the AMAZING  ALL - TO - REAL  battle that Haddie had to struggle through.

I can say with the most sincere appreciation- that she hit the nail on the fucking head!!!! Being a survivor myself- I don't know how she did such a damn fucktabulistic way of bringing the reader strait into Haddie's inner struggles with how to love the ppl in her life & herself all while selflessly trying to get through what she had too!! The realness hit so close to home. On every page! I choked, laughed, cried, snotted...and had to finish this book the day I started it!!

This book has not gotten enough praise, acknowledgement and marketing to the real heart of the story!!
I feel the title and cover (sad to say a lot of ppl buy/read a book/ebook based on the cover art- sure it helps...but STILL!) lead potential readers away from the book completely. Neither have anything to do with the story.

This story needs to be read by ALL women!! of course I'm going to tell you that you have to read all of the Driven series to understand the dynamic of Beckett and Haddie's character development...to fully enjoy the story in Slow Burn.
Get the tissues, silence your cells & buckle up!

LOVED IT.
