BLURB:
Orphaned at age sixteen, Emma, now twenty-four, has complete control of her life. She is a private, successful business woman who owns two companies and uses men for sex. When Emma's sexual itch arises, and there are no possible male suitors to fill her need, she finds alternative means. Emma keeps most people at a distance, especially the men she has sex with, except her two best friends, Maggie and Jared. She adheres to her eight golden rules that keep her in complete control - rules that she started after having sex with the first man. Rules that keep her gaurded, safe and free - but then, along came Joe Covelli.

I have eight golden rules when it comes to men:
1. No dating or going out on dates.
2. Never let them know where I live. Lie if I must.
3. Never pick up a guy in a particular social setting that I may frequently attend. Or, never sleep with a  man whom I have the chance of running into on a regular basis.
4. Never have a guy over to my apartment for any reason. My gay best friends are the only exceptions.
5. Always end things before a guy starts to want more.
6. Always use protection.
7. Never sleep over at their place after sex. Once we've finished, or in most cases, they've finished, dress and leave.
8. Always have more than one exit strategy.

REVIEW:

*****FIVE AMAZING BREAKTHROUGH STARS*****
I pre-ordered and waited...waited and then devoured BREATHE IN.
I am absolutely in love with NEW Author Martha Sweeney
I started this book at 1am, once it hit my kindle. I stayed up all night tweeting, swooning and ranting to Martha along the way. When I tell you that her writing has blown others out of the water, that is not said lightly. Not only was I happily overwhelmed with how fabulous she wrote all the characters and gave us back story without losing my interest, she also gave me such detail that it placed my imagination inside of Emma's.  I was with her at her home, with her friends and easily lost myself in a fabulously detailed book world. Martha has delivered, to me, one of my new favorite heroines. Emma is strong beyond words. She is the most uninhibited, unashamed sexually healthy mid-twenties female I have ever read.

WHOA, HEAR HER ROAR!
I am so happy to have the roles reversed for once in a novel that lets me enjoy all the erotica and sexiness I want too, from the strong female lead without cringing about the reasons why they have a sexual appetite so fierce to begin with. You all know what I'm getting at... the baggage, or unresolved personal issues. I loved how Emma has things to deal with from her past, yet, she doesn't let those emotions flow into how she treats the people few close to her. Yes, she needs to work on things, obviously - i.e.  the entire reason for her rules and not wanting to form attachments, however; the friendships she does put time and energy into are wonderfully fulfilling and I, as the reader, felt a part of the entire character list.

Joe, Joe....Joe. Sexy, self confident, accomplished, wealthy and NOT a complete a**hole about it. Most gentlemanly character I have read without losing the whole "OMG, I need this hot man in my life" effect. lol No, usually I don't like gentlemans. I love my alphas, my jerks. Joe's entire persona is unaffected, casual, aloof of his own damn hotness... that in itself is freaking sexy! The mouth on that man....  HAVE MERCY.  I want to marry him, hug the crap outta him and shake him all at the same time.

I could go into all the "whys" and the "because" of how I feel about this book and it's characters, but I can't. I'd just spoil it. Breahe In is absolutely one of my favorite new reads of this spring.
